Lombok has long been referred to as Bali's sister island but is more and more discovered as it's own full grown unique travel destination.
While Bali has a predominantly Hindu culture the majority of the residents of lombok are Muslim. Historically Lombok has long been ruled by chiefs of the indigenous Sasak Tribe which still dominates the local population and cultural traditions. An active volcano to climb, historic sites and unique culture, beautiful untouched raw nature and amazing beaches. Lombok has it all

Surfing
It does not matter if you are a beginner or already an experienced surfer, South Lombok has many consistent spots to offer. Mellow waves for practicing how to surf down the line and more hollow waves to step up your game as an experienced Surfer. We will bring you to the right spot at the right time.
Waterfalls
The island's volcano, mount Rinjani has impressive waterfalls all year long, because they don’t depend on rain at all. Its fresh drinking water coming out of the vulcano and the best ones are only an hour away from our camp.
Yoga
It's not a secret that yoga and surfing make a great combination! Yoga helps your muscles get flexible and recover from your surfing sessions faster. There is plenty of very delightful yoga to do around Kuta Lombok and we at We Wave Surf Camp are happy to guide you in the right direction with a nice discount coupon in hand.
Batcave
Not far from our surf camp is a big underground cave nice filled with thousands of bats and occasional snakes.
Explore
Lombok is absolutely beautiful! Hop on a bike and go out to explore! In general the roads are good and there is way less traffic than in Bali. There are plenty of unspoilt empty beaches to visit and epic panoramic views to gaze at.
Local Market
On the local market of Kuta time stood still for a long time. The fisher wifes are selling the fish their husband caught overnight and the farmers are offering the fruits of the season. The local market is held twice a week in the fisherman's village next to Kuta Beach.
Monkey Time
Monkey's can pop up on several beaches you might visit in your time on Lombok. There is a beach very close to kuta where you can go to feed them some peanuts.
Sunset
One of our favourite after surf activities is to watch the sunset with a beer or a coconut and we know all the best spots!
Sasak Village
The Sasak people are the largest native ethnic group on Lombok. Close to the We Wave Surf Camp are sasak villages to visit to get a glimpse of their culture and admire some of the beautiful weaving and local traditions.
